Chapter 7 and 8 really blend into each other from the homework perspective. Much of the workbook assignments from Chapter 7 coincide with what is covered here. This is KEY information, though, because now we are getting at the heart of growing your business… actually sharing information with people!!
- Read Chapter 8 in your book.
- Complete Chapter 8 in your workbook.
- Watch this video, Day 8 Gameplan Video .
- Comment with your paragraph that will get someone who has never heard of essential oils into a seat in your 101 class (you may like the one you used for your “practice” FB event from Chapter 7 or be able to adapt that one for this homework). Also… comment with things that you have learned about marketing your classes that you did not know previously.

has for marketing I did not know anything about classes and how to set them up or market them, so I guess everything is new for me 🙂
I like that we have advices on how to post, not too often, but often enough that you keep people on their toes until the class is happening. I am not quiet sure I did understand how to do an online class though. But that might be a questions for later.

I love the ideas in your class description. Be careful of saying “chemical free” though as technically everything is a chemical including water and even if you say “toxin free”, it is impossible to live a toxin free life due to our environment. I usually word it something like… “Make a move toward a less toxic lifestyle” or “Learn more about the 300 toxins that the average American woman is exposed to each day and the simple and affordable ways to move toward a less toxic lifestyle!”
I also love that Sarah gives us specific advice for marketing through our Facebook event invites 🙂 To be honest, in the past I have pretty much created the invite, invited friends, and maybe messaged those who said “going” or “interested” to remind them to come the day before or day of. Posting daily for 2-3 weeks to offer regular reminders is a fabulous idea!!

I love the ideas for asking others to invite people and for those people who did the inviting to then post in the event with some testimonials. I had never considered doing online classes with videos (mainly because I don’t like seeing myself on video), but I may give it a try!

LOVE the class description, especially “kick the crud in your home out” 🙂 I also like her suggestions for the FB classes and although I struggle a bit myself with recording videos of myself, I totally agree that it adds a much more personal aspect to the classes.

I’m going to be one of those people that “steals” hers because I am just not a clever writer.
I like the having 3 others invite 50 people idea. I loved the tips for an online class because I haven’t tried my hand at that yet and I also really loved all her tips for a vendor event. Especially, have something for sale and everyone leaves with something.

Love those too! I think it would be pretty easy to get 3 friends to invite 50 people if we make up cute gift baskets ahead so we can show them what they will get just for doing that!!

I will use the scripts for now, my writing is not concise and clear.
It was helpful to get info on different ways to share oils,like prerecording video segments and bullet points for an online class,or the tips on vendor events.

What I’ve learned about marketing my classes is posting daily! I’m still working on this one. I feel with each class I do, I get better. Get invitees to promote you and give testimonials. Rewarding your host and the giveaways can be as simple as a peppermint roll-on and/or a small spray bottle of Thieves cleaner. It does not have to be elaborate or cost you a lot out of pocket. I also like to give out tickets during the class to enthuse attendees to ask questions, etc. Then I do a drawing at the end of the class offering the “oils” or a FREE iTovi scan.

I have learned a lot about social media, something I am not very good at. It seems easier than I have thought it to be. I am not sure about inviting 50 people at a time. I know not all will come but I think I am a smaller class kind of gal just yet.

Great description! I am pretty sure you meant to put an exclamation point rather than a question mark after free 😉 Remember that unless you very personally invite people, 50 will result in a very do-able size class, though. If you invite fewer you would have to do a super personal invite (phone/in person) to each person to fill your class even if you are aiming for smaller.

I am so excited to help you understand what toxin free living is all about. To make this more personal and helpful I am asking you to go through your cabinets and write down what cleaners, soaps or deodorizers you are currently using. Send the list to me with your yes you are attending the class. We will look at the ingredients in these products and the effects they can have on your health. We will also look at what toxin free cleaners that are available. Remember to invite your friends and have them check there cabinets as well. Will have samples of thieves cleaner for each attendee.

Ooooh! That’s a fun way to present it! Maybe present it as an optional task so you don’t lose people because they think they can’t come if they didn’t send you their list, but I LOVE the interactive idea!!

Do you know you can take one product and remove all your chemical laden cleaning supplies in your home, and will be cheaper then any of your cleaning supplies were. And for your personal care we have products that will take care of your needs with out all the chemicals in them. DO you know a woman puts on over 80 chemicals before breakfast every morning and in 26 seconds these can be found in measurable amounts in the human body. There are in your home right now that you are being exposed to every single day, that could be killing you. It is all totally preventable if you are willing to take that step.
